Scales dated 1840  mahogany and brass sovereign and half sovereign and also fractional coins.

This type of balance scale is very rare with few if any available to purchase

The brass scale folds into  a mahogany wooden case and comes with 4 weighs.

Weights are stamped Sovereign - 5/8 -   1/2 Sovereign - 2/6

There is one weight missing fortunately this was for a small fractional coin

Good original condition and fully functional.
